RELIGION
New jersey was a colony that held no particular religion, yet mainly the people consisted of the Catholic and Protestant. The king had partial rule over worship, yet this colony was very diverse in belief. Most sermons were held by a group of people wanting to worship due to lack of funding to purchase a real church. This being a problem causes each religion to take charge of their own worship and the colony to be very lenient.
AFFECTS: Due to a non-strict religion policy, this attracted many settlers.
